My approach is to take into account each client's unique needs, goals, and health history. I am committed to providing safe and effective exercise prescriptions that help my clients achieve their desired outcomes while minimizing the risk of injury or exacerbation of existing health conditions.
Sound familiar? Like many, convincing your parents or taking time for you always just seems a little out of grasp. My mom and client, Denise, was no different. Giving is second nature to her. As a matter of fact, if I was to describe her in 5 words it would go like this; loving, funny, giving, giving and giving!
Diagnosed with stage 3 cancer she knew that things had to change. First she needed to accept help from others and ultimately she needed to prioritize a part of her day for herself. Working together allowed her to do just that (both)!
Personally for me this whole journey allowed me to experience two things; the pure joy of celebrating her accomplishments as her trainer but also the immense sense of pride I get from seeing my mom taking care of herself, getting stronger and gradually witness her mindset transformation.
My Grandmother decided she was "old" at 70 years of age but lived until 92! She lost her ability to walk independently, then years after, to stand. Otherwise healthy, if she would've kept her strength & muscle mass she would've had a much more active and enjoyable 22 years!
I don't believe she would've signed up for a gym membership, as most people her age wouldn't. I lived across the country from her and online training wasn't as it is today.
That made me reflect and realize how different 20 years of her life could have been and what it would've meant to her..
This is why I am so passionate about helping people to establish a strong foundation of fitness and mobility so they can enjoy their retirement years to the fullest.
